Focus On Continued Growth Of Records Retrieval, Analysis and Medical Review


September, 2001 - Houston, TX – The emerging leader in records retrieval and litigation services for law firms, insurance companies and corporations, the Marker-Hoff Group, has announced the appointment of Jim Buchanan to Vice President of Marketing, Texas Region. This position represents a commitment by upper-management to expand its menu of litigation-related services and its reach in the marketplace.

As Vice President of Marketing, Mr. Buchanan is responsible for the Texas sales staff at The Marker-Hoff Group, which he is in the process of growing. His immediate focus will be to develop and grow medical review, record retrieval and analysis, court reporting, legal copy, and other related services to law firms, insurance companies and corporations in a tri-state area (Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana). Mr. Buchanan will also be called upon to help establish The Marker-Hoff Group name and identity as the leading provider of these services.

Before joining The Marker-Hoff Group, Mr. Buchanan served as Sales Manager for a large litigation support company based in Houston, Texas. His responsibilities included directing sales and marketing efforts, developing and implementing training programs, development of corporate accounts and management of account managers.

Prior to that, Mr. Buchanan was a legal assistant to a number of civil litigation firms in the Houston, Texas area. Mr. Buchanan holds a B.S. from the University of Houston and also studied at the Southwestern Paralegal Institute in Houston. He is a past President of the Legal Assistants Division of the State Bar of Texas and currently lives in the Houston area with his wife and two daughters.
